A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of listening to a group of veterans discuss the importance of working toward energy indepence. They were traveling throughout North Carolina, as well as other states, to tell about their experiences and share their view of energy independence as a national security issue.
The following video is Rafael Noboa, an Iraq War veteran.

I'm sorry this took so long
The graphics card in my iMac is dying a slow and painful death. I wasn't able to import the video. I finally commandeered my daughter's Macbook and got caught up on creating videos.

Betsy, the 7 degrees of NC-CO keep growing
I was coming on this site as i am preparing a letter to Larry Kissell to urge him to vote yes for the Healthcare bill and was looking up my pro-Kissell diaries here, and I see my buddy Raf on Blue NC.
Raf was one of the people I was with at the War protest organized by Move On May of 2007, where Raf spoke as a Veteran against the War.
After the Rally, we went to a local establishment to talk politics and I ran into the "Coach" a local sports guy who I had asked about getting into radio, and long story short, my radio show got its start that day and Raf was the first guest on my radio show in June of 2007.
Small world.
while i am no longer on the radio, i have moved on to bigger issues, thanks to people I met on the show,
as part of the energy debate, we must discuss the human rights issues of Global Warming.

Wade, that is a great story
I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Raf. I tried to pin him down on which of North Carolina's cities was his favorite, but he dodged my question. :D
Will look for your diary.
