Pathetic Puppets

If you've ever seen a three-year old stomping his feet and holding his breath because the mean old adults won't do what he wants, you've seen Puppet Doctor Roy Cordato in action. Well, today the little Puppet goes into a full-fledged tantrum in the latest Puppetshow "Report" on North Carolina's Global Climate Change Commission.
The report itself is typical of every other JLF report: short on insight, long on whining, obstructionist to its core, and full of crap. Don't bother to read the whole thing, the Puppetshow press release will tell you all you need to know.
A special N.C. global warming study group has ignored state law while pursuing predetermined policy goals, according to a new John Locke Foundation Spotlight report. “Whether through negligence or willful omission, the N.C. Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change has made no significant attempt to pursue the mandated mission set out in a 2005 state law,” said Dr. Roy Cordato, JLF Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar.
The commission could consider interim recommendations during its next meeting, scheduled Thursday in Raleigh. “Any recommendations the group makes now would be premature,” Cordato said. “Those recommendations would lack almost all underlying analysis required by law.”
(I guess Doctor Roy has never bothered to look up the work "interim." What a f*cking idiot.)
If you've followed the sad saga of Cordato's Quixotic battle against the Conspiracy of 10,000 Scientists, you'd know that his whining is nothing but a last-ditch attempt to derail even the smallest of actions North Carolina might take to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we contribute to the environment.
“The (commission) co-chairs and a majority of commission members are forging ahead with policies meant to restrict carbon dioxide – or CO2 – emissions,” he said. “They’ve not conducted the scientific or economic analysis that would tell them whether North Carolina should pursue those policies.”
Some public statements from commission members could give the public the wrong idea about the group’s work, Cordato said. “Commission co-chairman John Garrou recently assured a statewide radio audience that almost every proposal had undergone an economic analysis and that a number of those proposals would have a net economic benefit for the state,” Cordato said. “That’s not true. There has been no benefit/cost analysis of any policy under consideration.”
Knowing North Carolina as I do, I would be shocked if the Commission comes out with anything resembling onerous carbon-reduction strategies. And I take Garrou's word on face value. Maybe the analyses being conducted by the Commission aren't going to be the most sophisticated in the world, but even at that the work would be have ten times more integrity than any John Locke Foundation "report."
The truth is, the Puppets are against any public policy that might even remotely cause some rich white guy to have to spend a few pennies cleaning up after himself. They hate planning, they hate government, and they're more than happy to let the whole world go to shit while Doctor Roy does more analysis about the sea water rising up around his bony ankles.

Glad to see you back and keeping your thumb on these monsters
Crap, NC is being physically assaulted from the Coast to the mountains and every place possible in-between. But wait, it's not bad enough, lets form a panel and study it while our friends pocket some big $$$$, when they get enough, we'll recommend......something.
I really hope that Karma thing works.....cause the JLF and all the puppets should be enjoying a bit of what goes around.
No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

I'm recommending an enema for the good doctor
though I haven't done the necessary scientific testing to determine whether he needs one. Don't need to....I can tell he's full of sheeeeet.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
Hey....Anglico
We need a resident scholar. You think Robert would agree?

Working for the Common Good of all North Carolinians
Well, RP is a "Doctor"
Then again, maybe what we really need is a resident alien. I'll take that job.
:)
Nope...you're Senior Fellow aka Old Man. :)
Robert says he's a doctor, not a Doctor.
You don't happen to know what this man is a doctor of, do you? I mean.....he could be a chiropractor for all we know.
I'm a doctor, too
though it's also a 'doctor' since it's a PharmD, not an MD. Though it's at least a medical-type doctorate...
I'd forgotten that you carry the doc title also - cool
I'm only doctor mom. :)
I used to think about going back to school for an advanced degree. I checked with the remaining brain cells and they declined.
Me too!
J.D. But nobody calls lawyers "doctor," not even with a little "d."
Dad and brother are J.D's
and I dont' call them doctor or lawyer. I have a very special word just for the two of them. :)

Another 'Duh' Moment
“They’ve not conducted the scientific or economic analysis that would tell them whether North Carolina should pursue those policies.”
'Our hair is on fire. Do you think we should form a committee to see if we need to put it out?'
Wait!
We must for a committee first and commission a study!
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
Perfect.
Only in their case, they want to keep pouring gasoline on.
Please make it stop!
These chuckle-heads really need adult supervision.

You ARE confused!
No, my dear boy. One may only make recommendations on policy if Art Pope says you can. sheesh. Get yer facts straight.

Funny
how the JLF Puppets and their potted plant at the N&O manage to coordinate their idiocy on such a regular basis. Way to go Rick.
