Please Vote Yourselves "Grassroots All-Stars" Right Now
I really need your help today.
As you know, North Carolina's 'can do' campaign has been honored as one of the picks in Democracy For America's 2007 All-Star Grassroots challengers. What you may not know is we've learned we held the early lead thanks to netroots support and our outreach efforts, but have quickly dropped behind, most likely due to the large population in the states we're up against.
I know that can't sit well with North Carolina Democrats any more than it does with me. YOU are the grassroots All-Stars of 2006, and will be of 2008. Let's prove it to the world.
I'm asking you to get creative. Go to FaceBook, MySpace, YouTube, your friends, family, work and other discussion boards and tell the grassroots story.
You know, as I know, that sweat and tears made this campaign, not institutional support. Win this thing to validate all that hard work.
We have to come in the top 3 by this Sunday to continue for a chance at those half million new contacts, and just fell to fourth place. Don't let a few votes short change us again. For all the folks that have said, I wish I could have done more to get those 330 votes in 2006, NOW is the time.
I encourage you to do all you can to make North Carolina shine!
Thank you and God bless!

I was about to write a post just like this
which would have been placed on the front page. Instead, I saw Larry's post and decided to front page it.
Hey - all you folks with email lists - let's get on this. All the Edwards folks who are also Kissell supporters, spread the word. All the Obama supporters who are also Kissell supporters.
I don't know of any Clinton supporters, but you can spread the word too.
Biden, Richardson, Dodd, Kucinich - get on your freaking phone/email/blackberry and let's get these votes in!
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Currently lacking a witty signature.
Does anyone know how the vote is going?
Charlie Brown is going to be hard to beat with the recent news.
I always wanted to be the avenging cowboy hero—that lone voice in the wilderness, fighting corruption and evil wherever I found it, and standing for freedom, truth and justice. - Bill Hicks
Which is a crying shame...
...given that has nothing to do with being GRASSROOTS.
Who can beat the $1.22 gas event copied nationwide? Who can beat the proud hand-to-mouth campaign of $88.94 cash on hand? Who else can say they had more volunteers than ANY challenger in America in 2006? Who else besides Presidential candiates had 15,000 donors? I mean NY and California.. those aren't grassroots! Those are most people's reasons NOT to vote Democratic. We are grassroots. $31 in-kind from DCCC. Massa got over $50K real money. That's as grassroots as astroturph.
Tim Dunn
Got more money from Rahm than Larry Kissell by about $60K for a primary AGAINST Larry Kissell.
I'm going to have to hurt people aren't I?
I knew someone would find a way to make that Yellow
Blood is not Larry's best color.
