Positive Campaign Fact Check

When Bev Perdue announced that she was stopping the negative ads and was going to run a positive campaign, she reserved the right to defend herself against misleading attacks. That's what this ad is about. Setting the record straight in a manner that deals with the issues not tearing down the other candidate.

I'm really glad you guys are holding your course

This is a good, solid ad. And I like the way you're handling Moore's silly criticism of Perdue's pro-choice credentials.

Truth is, choice is one of my main issues. When Reiff & Moore try to attack Perdue's long-standing advocacy for choice, it's not only annoying, it also backfires. Everyone in North Carolina knows Bev is strong on this issue. Even Richard.

This was a good ad.

Doesn't it feel good to NOT be throwing mud?

I Twitter, Therefore I Am.

I had that same thought.

It must be a relief to have made a decision to come clean with the certainty that you can't second-guess it.

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
