The cure for PWS

Hey Charlotte!
Can anyone fill us in on how the world will be shaping up post-McCrory? The city will no doubt slide into PWS (Pat Withdrawal Syndrome), and I wouldn't be surprised of Mr. McCrory is angling toward a coronation of some hand-picked successor.
The main name I've heard tossed on the Democratic side is current city council member Anthony Foxx.
Who's got the inside scoop?

This is a really good question.
I think we could all stand to know a little bit more about what is happening down there.
Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.

Working for Anthony Foxx
All I know is that the Deputy Regional Field Director for the Obama campaign (responsible for the whole Charlotte area) is now working for the Anthony Foxx campaign. He was my boss when I worked for the Obama Campaign.
Anthony Foxx is going to be a very serious contender.
finally some love
Gee, I didn't know ya'll in the big ol' triangle cared soo much about us.
Foxx has confirmed he is going to run. He is young, is from Charlotte, comes from a political family, works for one of the large uptown law firms and is pretty progressive. What's not to like?
Looks like his competition is going to be fellow city council at large member John Lassiter. Lassiter is a McCrory clone.
This will open up two at large (out of 4) seats on the council so that should be an interesting race to watch. It also looks like at least two of our district elected Dems will face competition in the primaries.

Yer welcome!
I think about Charlotte a lot, but don't know enough to do anything other than ask questions.
Say, maybe YOU could be the person to "bring Charlotte" to the rest of the state via BlueNC!
Foxx also went to Davidson
And finished second in the 2007 City Council at-large race, behind DNC member and all-around great person Susan Burgess. Democrats did really well in the last municipal race in spite of McCrory's massive popularity.
Foxx can do everything it takes to win, and was recently endorsed by Senator Malcolm Graham, who had considered running for mayor in the past. Should be a good year for Charlotte.

Sorry, I don't live in Charlotte
I live in the 3rd biggest town in Mecklenburg, Mint Hill.

CLT, Huntersville, Matthews, Cornelius, Mint Hill.
But with consolidation looking like the big issue this year, all of us Mecklenburgers should be interested in this race.
