Rhymes with destitute

I've never heard of Jim Culbertson, but if he represents the best judgment of the North Carolina Party of Greed, we're in for a fun ride over the next 18 months. According the the News and Observer, Culbertson is all ga-ga over the candidacy (rhymes with idiocy) of occasional drag-queen Rudy Giuliani.
Of course, Jim Culbertson's claim to fame goes far beyond supporting the Rudy clown who just happened to be mayor of New York of 9/11, the very same corrupt greeder who went into business with this crook. Indeed, Mr. Culbertson is partly responsible for the installing the lunatic Child King in the White House throne room, having been Bush's go-to Ranger in North Carolina in both 2000 and 2004. Not the brightest bulb in the box, that's for sure.
Culbertson said he caught the George W. Bush fever in October 1998 and began lobbying acquaintances in the Texas Governor’s office to let him raise money before Bush even announced his presidential bid.
Now there's a guy you'd want to trust with . . . ummmmm . . . nothing?
Jim Culbertson, a Winston-Salem businessman who headed the two state campaigns for George W. Bush, will chair Giuliani's North Carolina campaign. Culbertson said he was one of a group of two dozen key Bush fundraisers who decided to try to stick together and find a new candidate to support in 2008. The group interviewed the major GOP candidates in February. A majority of them settled on Giuliani.
"We were pretty much blown away by him," Culbertson said. Culbertson said Giuliani could help Republicans win in Democratic-leaning areas. "All we need is New Jersey and Pennsylvania and we have the next election," Culbertson said. "He is basically conservative, outside the social issues."
Pretty much blown away by Rudy? How sad is that? Pretty much blown a way by a lying, serial adulterer, drag-queen chameleon? Poor Jim. I'm betting he looked in Rudy's eyes just like Dumbya looked in Vladamir Putin's eyes, and saw nothing but a warped reflection of his own out-sized ego.
This is good news, though. The Republican presidential field is still taking shape, but the rich North Carolina white boys are too dumb to wait and see what their options might be. Apparently, all they want is another incompetent crook in the White House, even if it's a slimy joke like Rudy.

I think drag queens are awesome
They just have to vote the right way and they can't have ties to the mob.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
We don't need to show pictures of Rudy in drag
at least, not until October.
Didn't one of the posters for "The Crying Game" say something along the lines of, "This November, prepare for a big surprise?"
Republican Scum comes to North Carolina?

Just when you think a elitist Republican establishment jerk like Culbertson couldn't be any dumber, they fool you every time.
And you thought Rudy stomped out the Mafia with his former business partner?
Rudy only stomped out the mafia
with whom he could not do business.
The rest of them, the ones that paid the protection needed, and played the game, are all just fine, thanks.
I'm with SD
Some of the nicest people I know are drag queens. Then again, they're not corrupt, and they don't cheat on their partners, and they're not "in bed" with the mob.
I grew up in NJ, at around the time Giuliani was playing tough prosecutor with the mob. He was on the news all the time, lisping his way through the tough talk, etc. I don't think he'd still be alive if he hadn't greased some palms at that point, let alone have gotten himself elected mayor of NY. The fact that he happened to be mayor at the time of the attack on the World Trade Center does not make him qualified to do anything but capitialize on other people's loss and grief. Feh. I don't like him.

Oh, Well, Hey ...
I don't think it's the drag queen persona that really riles.
I think it's more like the 6 marriages between him & his current wife.
The small fact that the NY Firemen think the rest of the country's been hoodwinked by him. Pretty vituperous stuff when they came out against ol' Rudy. If the NY firemen don't want him, why would we?
I don't think he's going to be the one we have to worry about
I think it's going to be Romney.

Best. Title. Ever.
I had tears in my eyes.

that he's a Mormon. That ought to do it. Unless they've changed their stance drastically since the last time I paid attention. umm..hmm..no flip flops allowed. ;)
Culbertson
He must have gotten the same letter from Rudy that I did and thought he was special:

That is fantastic.
You should have sent him a letter back asking for more information.
Ooooh oooh. You could say that you are willing to give 4600 but would like a personal call from the candidate. Hellooooo tape recorder.
