Right-Wing Blog Report Jan 24

Ok this is going to be quick and dirty.

While no doubt the angry words of North Carolina fundamentalists deserve more than a cursory glance, a glance is all I've got to spare for this lot.

Let us venture where men have bested their better angels, and partisan passion has broken every bond of affection:

Red Clay Citizen (Art Pope)

Thunder Pig (Is this guy part of the Stompers? His website is slow and plays an annoying audio clip.)

Stephen Bainbridge

Sister Toldjah

Environment NC (Art Pope, not to be confused with the Environment North Carolina that split from NCPIRG)

NC Republican Roundtable

Brent Woodcox (NCGOP Communications Person)

hangrightpolitics

NC Rumors (redesign, they moved to Drupal)

Ogre’s Politics and Views (this my new favorite blog)

Locker Room (Art Pope)

Cold Fury

Please let me know if there are some other blogs I ought to be checking out.

Excellent, Jerimee

We should do something special with all this hard work!

thanks

I'm really surprised by how much hatred there is for the "Global Warming Hoax."

Especially since it seems to exist on most rightwing blogs. I didn't know there were that many people passionately committed to denying global warming.

This might be a good line of attack against moderate Republicans.

Ask them, "Do you believe in Global Warming?"

If they say "yes" they lose the 10% of North Carolinians that makes up the GOP base. If they say "no" they lose the other 90% of North Carolina.

It looks like Stephen Bainbridge is the exception to this.

He posted something this morning about the conservative movement adopting some conservation positions.

If moderate repubs are the target, I would reframe the

question to:

"Do you think humanity has a responsibility to care for God's creation?"

And start the conversation that way.

Jerimee, do you get any sense which blogs are the most active?

In terms of comments and original content?

It seems most of them that I have ventured into don't even have one comment left under them.

Sister Toldjah and Cold Fury have audiences

Sister Toldjah seems mostly to copy and paste content and then add some of her own observations. I'm not that critical of this since it's what do most of the time too.

Cold Fury has original, and rather obscene, content.

Both these blogs are fairly well commented.

You are a brave, brave man

Do you feel the need to take a hot shower and scrub with a wire brush after reading this garbage? Thanks for looking so we don't have to, Jerimee.

I read some of this stuff Jerimee.. I am more dedicated today.

America must never become subject to this draconian mentality. The Right Wing is what is wrong in America.
