Roger and Me

Who is that handsome devil?

Why its Roger Sharpe of course! Along with the officer corps of the Appalachian State University College Democrats. Can you guess which one I am? (PS...why did you immediately guess the blogger looking one with the laptop strung from his back?)

Roger gave a fantastic speech about healthcare for all, ending the Iraq war, and higher education.

Virginia Foxx thinks that the federal government has no place in education (coincidentally, she attended (and was fired from) Appalachian State University - an NC public school).

Please help Roger out where you can. People are learning what an amazing candidate he is, and he is making a LOT of noise in a district that is sick of Virginia Foxx's bullshit. She underperformed BUsh here in 2004 by 7%, and we are ready to be rid of that shoplifting adulterous criminal once and for all!

Yes and yes

Busted on more than one occasion. Shop owner promised never to go public if she promised never to come back to her store.

the other one is a private story as well from back in her ASU days. Again, local Dems are choosing to lay low in respect to the families involved.

But both are absolutely accurate.

Too bad you can't get them to talk on the record

Now that would make for a great post and I'd bet the MSM might even pick that one up. Well, maybe not...
(Can you tell them her middle name is Clinton?)

You are doing a fantastic job JW!

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

You crack me up!

HA!!!

Im workin on trying to dig that up. I'll post it on BlueNC if we can ever get a confession. :)

Here we go

I'm so tired of hearing national news reports that say only 40 House seats have any chance of turnover, and only 20 are "truly in play."

In a "blue moon" election year when there is no statewide partisan race in North Carolina, turnout will be low and ANYTHING can happen. The party that outworks the other and gets out its base and gets out its message can prevail ANYWHERE. So let's make some news.

Roger Sharpe upsetting Virginia Foxx would certainly make national news. This is one of the most conservative districts in the nation, but you bloggers are right. Foxx underperforms for an R in this district. She does have a tawdry past, but Roger is too much of a gentleman to exploit that. What is totally fair game, however is her present -- she's an out-of-touch Bush-puppet multimillionaire living in a gated community who was one of only a handful in Congress to vote against Hurricane Katrina relief. That is unChristian (see Matthew 25:40). She voted against the Voting Rights Act. That is downright unAmerican (see US Constitution).

On the other hand, Sharpe is a great candidate and is picking up steam every day. We need to help him get his message out in a grassroots way. Stay tuned.

Do tell about the tawdry past thing!

Nah, you don't have to. Just thinking about that kind of thing makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit...

"we're banging pots and pans / to make you understand / we're gonna bury you, man"

Its gross

We're workin on it :)

Bill Clinton's speech to the DNC

The Dark Side Chronicles

Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory says he wants to change the culture in Raleigh. I guess that's why he wrote this letter to PAC lobbyists asking for their fundraising help. Change you can believe in? Riiiiiiight. Join the conversation here.
