Speaker Black, the Original ODB...signs off

Take with a grain of salt as far as details are concerned. It is NC Spin after all. I think they're afraid of being scooped so they're jumping out there.

More reliable sources say that Black could resign tomorrow and announcement of a plea bargain made early next week but all of this could take another week.

For the record, Black does not own a condo in Bishop's Park though he does rent one from Luci Johnson, a Republican staffer. (Meredith Norris does own one in Bishop's Park and she took out a $25,000 home equity loan last year, presumably to pay for legal expenses.)

NC Spin is already back-pedaling on this (or is it back-peddling).

Correction on Jim Black story

The Jim Black story continues to evolve. No sooner had we reported the story that Jim Black had listed his condo in Bishops Park for sale than we heard, from a highly reliable source, that Black never owned the unit. He had leased it, along with former House Rules Chair Bill Culpepper. The lease expired and Black chose not to renew it. Culpepper, who currently serves on the State Utilities Commission, moved out several days ago. Black moved out of the apartment yesterday. The notice posted on the internal General Assembly bulletin board was advertising for a new tenant.

Even with these latest developments there is evidence that Jim Black is making some interesting moves. He had lived in the condo for some time and was just sworn in for a new two year term. Why not renew the lease?

Only time will tell whether or not the rumors about an announcement of a plea bargain agreement is imminent. We still hear it could be as early as Friday.

Black had been renting that apartment since April 2005. When you read it here on BlueNC you can count on it.

7. Make sure Bob goes to dentist to prove story.
8.Don't pay property tax bill this week. Float the sucker like the check is in the mail if media inquires.
9. Forget that! Tell media the guarddog ate the bill and postman at the same time when delivery was made.
10. Have Hood write another story about Harry Potter at the State Capital riding a vacum cleaner to clean out the corrupt democrats.
11. Send Kid from Cary to Smithville Zoning meeting to promote growth as the way of the future for the Republican party.
12. Have Kid change Auto Tage on Foundation Van to Johnston County location to fool media
13. Plant story in Raleigh Paper that a person from NCBlue was found with a bunch of communists at Democrat Hq's plotting to take over the State communcation system.
14. Start rumor at Hood's Spin TV show that Black was found having sex with a goat at his Condo with his former communcation director.
15. Pick up lawn boy at Kroger after his 2 nd shift change and cut the front yard.
16. Call Federal lawyers and tell them to have media conference this coming Friday rejecting Black fessing up to a plead agreedment being under house arrest at his eye business for 10 years as a sentence agreedment. Tell them they want him as Frank Ballance roomate for 20 years in Burton for family reasons.
