Curb the Power of Special Interest Money in Local Elections

Start: 12 May 2008 - 11:18am

End: 14 May 2008 - 8:00pm

After much grassroots lobbying from good government groups, the NC General Assembly granted permission for Chapel Hill to experiment with local public campaign financing. A successful pilot in Chapel Hill can help clean up other local elections, expand successful statewide public financing options and increase interest in voter-owned elections nationwide.
