Does Linda Daves have even the slightest idea what she's doing? I doubt it, since her press release today will undoubtedly give Daily Kos a nice bump in North Carolina readership.
Did you know you've been brainwashed by an extremist website?
Attend or Host a Kos/NCDP House Party
Submitted by Jerimee on Thu, 09/13/2007 - 6:34pm.It’s not too late to host a House Party.
For the third consecutive year, Democrats from across the state will gather at their homes to engage in grassroots organizing.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 25. Help make this a success by turning your house into a home for Democratic ideas and action.
Grier Martin vs. Liddy Dole in 2008?
Submitted by dnagy on Wed, 09/12/2007 - 10:59pm.
In the week since Bob Geary of the Independent Weekly reported on a possible Grier Martin vs. Elizabeth Dole Senate race, a few bloggers have started to pick up the buzz. Notably, Senate 2008 Guru and liberal pontificator Daily Kos have weighed in on the possibility that Grier might jump in.
Senate 2008 Guru points out a few things which highlight Liddy's vulnerability:
blocking Medicaid access, death at the doorstep
Submitted by Robert P. on Mon, 03/12/2007 - 12:19pm.Oh that tricky Bush administration. They say clean air when they mean more pollution. They say No Child Left Behind when they mean No Upperclass Child Left Behind. They call it a Patriot Act, when it is in fact the KGB Surveillance for Dummies Act.
Now, they've gone and done it again. They've said they wanted to reform Medicaid so that those sneaky /brown/ people would quit "stealing" YOUR health care. They're the enemy you know, those /brown/ people, with their jobs and their families and their kids and their churches. But, what they really meant to say was that those sneaky /poor/ people were stealing THEIR tax breaks by using Medicaid.
That just won't do in the modern Republican Aristocracy. So, off with their benefits!!!

Blogosphere Day at BlueNC
Submitted by Robert P. on Wed, 07/19/2006 - 12:36pm.Okay folks. Today is Blogosphere Day. Over at DailyKos, kos outlines the history of Blogosphere Day.
In 2004, July 19 was the day Ginny Schrader became a blog household name. Unexpectedly thrust into a competitive race, Schrader raised $40K in 24 hours, thwarting DCCC attempts to find a more "credible" candidate.
In 2005, July 19 kicked off the serious fundraising for Paul Hackett, who turned a solid 63 percent Bush district into an epic battle and made it competitive not just for himself, but for his Democratic successor in the race this year.
So it's 2006, and Democrats are on the offensive around the country. My hope for today is that everyone drops at least $5 into some candidate's kitty, whether it's someone on the ActBlue Netroots page, someone else's ActBlue page, or your favorite candidate (national or local).
