McCrory at NC Gubernatorial Debate: More TeeVee, Less Education!
Submitted by NCDem Amy on Sun, 06/22/2008 - 5:51pm.Isn’t it enough that voters had to endure one “Law and Order” candidate, Republican Fred Thompson?
Patrick McCrory, NC Republican candidate for Governor, opened up Saturday’s Gubernatioral debate by repeatedly asking why North Carolina can’t be more like the teevee shows, “CSI” and “Law Order.” Lauding teevee shows for providing “DNA test results in minutes,” McCrory complained that North Carolina District Attorneys can’t afford to shop at Neiman Marcus:
“On Law and Order, the District Attorneys are dressed like they shop at Neiman Marcus.”

It's not the media. It's us. We are the problem.
Submitted by wayne204 on Sun, 04/20/2008 - 6:56am.How many words has Barack Obama spoken during this campaign? Hundreds of thousands? Yet we obsess over 25 words that he recently uttered about Americans’ bitterness with the way their government has let them down. And we act as if his entire essence is determined by these 25 words alone.

NC College Federaton of College Democrats -- Lt. Gov. Debate Postponed!
Submitted by Kay House on Sun, 04/13/2008 - 5:56pm.Debate postponed!
Last minute organizer complications resulted in postponement of the debate among Democratic Lt. Gov. Candidates previously scheduled for last night, Saturday April 12, 2008.
No new date has been set. It looks as if we may, as I post, have some kind of clock error on the site, as I am posting a little before six on Sunday April 12, 2008.
Dellinger's Debate Performance
Submitted by DrFrankLives on Fri, 04/11/2008 - 3:56pm.Last night's Lt. Gubernatorial forum was instructive, and showed again why Hampton Dellinger is such a strong choice for Democrats in this race. I have selected some very short excerpts of the forum last night where I thought Hamp was particularly strong.
Please take a look below.

IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!
Submitted by elementaljim on Mon, 01/14/2008 - 11:55am.The media is excluding candidates from the debates. AGAIN!
Lately it's been the media (IE..ABC/Disney, Fox & now NBC/GE) that want to exclude viable candidates. These media outlets and their pundits are trying to select your candidates and manipulate the public perception of exactly who is viable and electable with words and polls.

Impeachment debate
Submitted by kmr on Thu, 01/10/2008 - 6:48pm.Spent a little time on the phone with Michael Tomasky and Bruce Fein who are coming to Carrboro to debate the impeachment of the president and vice president. Nice chat with each. Tomasky, who was covering the NH primary, was very straight up about the political reality. Fein doesn't want to see the administration get away with it and made a heck of an analysis of the global and local consequences.
Should be a swell time. Here's the story from The Citizen with the time and location (after the jump, of course):
