Are You a "CARD CARRYING LIBERAL?"
Submitted by wade norris on Sun, 08/03/2008 - 9:47pm.Welcome back to another installment of UP News. The guys in this interview are indeed, card carrying liberals, and not only that, they are the ones coordinating events for the Big Tent event for Bloggers in Denver for the Convention.
John Erhardt and Aaron Silverstein are my kind of activists. Both are Editors for Square State, which is one of the main blogs in Colorado. Additionally, Aaron is with Democrats Work and will be organizing the Delegates for Actions in Denver the week of the convention. John is the state coordinator of Living Liberally/Drinking Liberally
and is putting the fun in the Big Tent Event by getting some top notch food, bands and events. I will be there with my brother in law, Tomas Custer, who runs Hispanic Tips and who was interviewed here on NPR.

Asheville Drinking Liberally: Liberal Media? Where?
Submitted by syntax on Thu, 08/17/2006 - 7:17am.
Earlier this week a representative from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) was in town, flanked by a few local activists of note - including one that I'm sure you're familiar with - to hold a press conference on the steps of Asheville City Hall to discuss Charles Taylor's many ethical peccadilloes and what they, as an organization, were doing about it.

Asheville Drinking Liberally: Heath Shuler?
Submitted by Gordon Smith on Tue, 05/23/2006 - 11:17pm.
If you've been watching Scrutiny Hooligans, you know that it's become a hub for the Heath Shuler/Charles Taylor race in North Carolina's eleventh district. You've seen the details of Charles 'Delaybramoff' Taylor's duplicitous character from the forest selloff to the Signatures Dinner to Flight 93. But you haven't seen much about his challenger, Waynesville's Heath Shuler.
