Foxx’s Clemens Crush Says It All
Submitted by boilergirl on Thu, 02/14/2008 - 1:44pm.Yesterday, on national TV, Virginia Foxx showed the world exactly what kind of representative she is- one that can be bought and sold, cheaply. In five minutes of the Clemens hearing we learned how she does her job and how she represents us. Her (embarrassing) performance reminds me...
Publicly Financed Campaigns Exist Already
Submitted by panningforgold on Wed, 01/16/2008 - 12:15am.She is at it again.
Last night, checking my mail like a patient being psychoanalyzed, my thoughts were random, but external. Rather than relaxing on Freud’s sofa and giving insight into a preconscious I stood at my kitchen table, thoughts organized in the order of the shuffled mail for that day. Then it caught my attention. "110th Congress." Yeah, still better then the 109th, I thought. Then, I opened it up. An 8.5x11 gorgeous piece of junk mail, a two-page layout, full color with pictures.

Let's Help Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC)
Submitted by NCProsecutor on Thu, 02/15/2007 - 5:46pm.Winston-Salem's own rightwing nutjob, GOP Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina's Fifth Congressional District, is asking for your input. Seriously!
The three questions asked:
Do you support a Federal Marriage Amendment that defines marriage in the U.S. as a union between one man and one woman?
Do you support abolishing the current tax code and starting with one that is fairer and flatter?
[She had me until "flatter."]
Do you support the war on terrorism and a victory in Iraq as a key to winning the War on Terror?
[That "and" is pretty darned tricky, isn't it?]
I think that the BlueNC community ought to surf on over and take her survey. Right there on the website, it says, "Congresswoman Fox wants to hear from you..."
Don't you think she needs to hear from us?

Once again, we see the Party of Greed following their marching orders from big pharma. If it's OK for the VA to negotiate lower drug prices, how can it not be OK for Medicare, too?
