I don't know about you, but I'm getting excited about sitting around and chatting with Ambassador Joe Wilson tonight. The excitement started to build when Karen Shugart's cover story on Ambassador Wilson was published in Creative Loafing.

You may remember just a few weeks ago, Betsy Muse announced that none other than Ambassador Joe Wilson will be visiting our fair corner of the 8th District on September 22 in support of Larry Kissell.

Since that announcement, a generous donor has offered to put us up for the event…Uptown, that is…so, we’re changing venues. You can join Ambassador Wilson, Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Congressman John Spratt at Spratt’s (no relation!) in Founders Hall at the Bank of America Corporate Center. (Parking for the event is free in the BoA garage, so no excuses!)

There is exciting news coming out of Charlotte for the Kissell campaign. Young Professionals for Kissell with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and Congressman John Spratt (D-SC) will be hosting Ambassador Joe Wilson at a fundraising event in Charlotte on September 22, 2007. Ambassador Wilson is a symbol to many of us of the courage it takes to tell the truth and stand for what is right regardless of the cost.
