An explanation on Rep Jones.

Yesterday it what appeared to be a bombshell hit the blogs about Rep. Walter B. Jones, Jr. returning to the Democrats and some here were upset about it. Everyone needs to take a breath and be calm.

It's the August recess for Congress and members everywhere are back "in the district" and meeting with their constituents.

Well...

Almost everyone.

The Gentleman from North Carolina's Third Congressional District will not be meeting with constituents.

I know because I tried to find out...

First, I visited his campaign's website's events list. Don't worry, it's not you, it really is blank.

Jones, Jr votes "No" on Hate Crimes Legislation

Can someone please explain to me why Congressman Walter B. Jones, Jr would vote "no" on HR 1592 (to provide Federal assistance to States, local jurisdictions, and Indian tribes to prosecute hate crimes)?

Please? Anyone?
