Marshall Adame NC-03

Thanks BlueNC. You are the bomb!

What a wonderful day when I found you all!! You became my friends, my cheering section, my shoulder to lean on and my closest confidants.

Thank you all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

James; I will always be your friend.

It's the Little Things

I found a little something to smile about in an otherwise disappointing Letter to the Editor.

From yesterday's Jacksonville Daily News, there is a rather disheartening Letter to the Editor entitled Politics run amok cancels blood drive.

From the title, I guess it was obvious that the ending would not be a happy one.

Poor, Poor Walter

After 16 years of holding a loose coalition of conservative Republicans, independents and moderate Democrats (some who think they’re still voting for his Democratic daddy) together with duct tape and string, it’s all beginning to unravel: Walter “Freedom Fries” Jones of NC 03 – faced with a staunch conservative vet (Joe McLaughlin) on the right and a 22-year Marine Corps vet (Marshall Adame) with a resume that would knock Walter’s socks off on the left – is in a not-so-pretty pickle.

Raleigh Fundraiser for Marshall Adame NC-03 Coming soon (Feb 29). Please plan to be there!

Marshall Adame For Congress Fundraiser in Raleigh is almost here.
Please plan to be there to Support Marshall. February 29th.

Lt. Gov. Bev Perdue, Jim Neal, Insurance Commissioner Jim Log and his lovely wife Peg, Beth Wood, Kristin Ruth, Jerry Meek, James Protzman (I think) and lots of other interesting folks will be there supporting Marshall.

Marshall needs this show of support. Come on out!!

Would like someone to live blog from the event.

And Helms begat Reagan...

Arguably, Ronald Reagan's Helms enabled win in the 1976 NC primary was all the encouragement he needed to try again in 1980, setting the stage for the Reagan Revolution and synergistic escapades like this one...

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
