"Teddy" as Caroline affectionately referred to him during her introduction is battling brain cancer but is not giving up the good fight. "The dream lives on!" Kennedy told us tonight.
Michelle Obama and just when is White, White.
Submitted by Betsy Muse on Thu, 08/14/2008 - 2:24pm.There's an interesting conversation going on around the internet surrounding an article about the Obamas that appeared in New York Magazine titled, Black and Blacker. Despite the truly idiotic headline, the article has some interesting tidbits that provide some food for thought. I'm not going to analyze the entire piece, but will use one passage as a jumping off point for a bit of discussion.
As much as any political campaign is an extended meditation on authenticity, the question of just how black the Obamas are has become particularly loaded.
Democrats Work, delegates, Michelle Obama, and the Dem Convention
Submitted by wade norris on Sun, 08/10/2008 - 2:24pm.This week I got to interview Erin Egan from Democrats Work.
Erin provides a good background on what Democrats Work's history, what they have accomplished in the past, and more importantly, what opportunities are coming up. One such opportunity is the Delegate Day of Service on Wednesday, Aug. 27th. This is being headed up jointly by future first lady, Michelle Obama, and first lady of Colorado, Jeanne Ritter.

Dear Michelle......Not This Time!
Submitted by Betsy Muse on Fri, 06/27/2008 - 9:38am.Dear Michelle Obama,
I was recently nudged out of my wait-and-see state after reading an opinion piece written by Mary C. Curtis of The Charlotte Observer. I found it in The Washington Post. I've waited to hear what the response will be from the well-known feminists and all I hear are crickets.
I may not have a name in the feminist movement and I may not have a big national platform, but let me be among the first to respond to Mary's piece. Michelle, it's not going to happen this time. We aren't going to let Republicans and the right wing media get away with labeling you as anything other than the accomplished, intelligent, compassionate mother and wife that you are. We won't let them portray you as anything other than a strong, loyal, patriotic American. We won't let them demonize you like we let them demonize Hillary Clinton.

Michelle Obama at NCSU April 8
Submitted by gregflynn on Thu, 04/10/2008 - 10:48pm.
Michelle Obama spoke for over an hour to a crowd of 5,700 at NCSU's Reynolds Coliseum on Tuesday night. There's been plenty of local media coverage of the event including a full length video of the speech at WRAL's website. Also a healthy portion of new media coverage for those seeking it out. Here's an eyewitness account in video and pictures. Let me know if you recognize anyone.
Michelle Obama and WAL-MART

That he would cite state legislative experience during a Presidential campaign as a qualification already reveals to this voter how underprepared he is for the Presidency.
