Republican hypocrisy
Republican? Baptist? Holier than me?

Huh.
Local newspaper: "Privette should resign".
Submitted by LiberalNC on Fri, 07/27/2007 - 11:15pmThis weeks edition of our "hometown newspaper", The Concord Standard, has an interesting editorial with the all-saying title "Privette should resign". You can read the complete editorial on their website.
It clearly states that "he should resign immediately from his seat on the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners."
Do we really need to talk about the sex life of an old man?
Submitted by LiberalNC on Sat, 07/21/2007 - 1:45amCabarrus County Commissioner Coy Privette seems to have "skipped town", probably waiting until this whole sex scandal storm has blown over.
Should we even be talking about this whole thing? Shouldn't we let the guy just deal with his personal problems? In the case of Mr. Privette I think we should talk about it and I'll explain why.
Being Coy: The devil made him do it

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Former state legislator Coy C. Privette, a Cabarrus County commissioner and Christian activist, faces charges of soliciting prostitution. Privette, 74, was arrested just before 8 a.m. Thursday at his house in Kannapolis on six counts of aiding and abetting prostitution by renting a hotel room and paying for sexual acts, according to State Bureau of Investigation Agent Kevin Canty. Tiffany Denise Summers, 32, of Salisbury, was charged with six counts of prostitution, Canty said.
Pat McHenry's entertaining earmark hypocrisy
Submitted by Drama Queen on Mon, 06/18/2007 - 11:36pmMy rep, Pat McHenry, spent a week using procedural tactics to delay and interfere with Homeland Security appropriations, all in the name of garnering publicity for Democratic secrecy and earmarks. Now that the Democrats are releasing their lists of earmark requests, Pat's whining that to release his own list would cause "confusion" due to a “long-standing” practice among the North Carolina delegation. Too rich.
