The tale of Sherre Toler
In the wake of Sherre Toler's resignation as the Harnett County Director of Elections, response from progressive organizations and individuals has been overwhelmingly positive. A solid public servant, when confronted with the challenge of a moral and constitutional dilemma, chose to step down rather than participate in the charade.
So answer me this: Why is resignation a commendable course action for the Director of Elections in Harnett County, but not so for the Attorney General of the state?
Pam Spaulding did a follow-up interview with Toler after receiving a copy of her letter. You can find it here.
