Yay...thank you!

What a wonderful thing to read tonight.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Thank you, Mr. Dancy

For being someone who is concerned enough about his fellow North Carolinians to agitate for their benefit. :)

When you find yourself frustrated with the system and the people that make it so unnecessarily frustrating, know this: you are making a difference. Never doubt that, okay?

In re: Thank you, Mr. Dancy

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I found out a long time ago that it takes agitation to make things happen. I had been given the title of Watch Dog and then later someone called me an Agitator so I said okay I like that.

Thank you my friend.

Well, the thing about

the Edwards paternity test sort of blew up, but I understand what you were trying to say there.

But this thing about Julia Boseman had exactly the same effect here as the Republicans are hoping it will have all over the Wilmington area. It's driving us apart. It's making you think we're trying to protect her just because she's white, and that we don't care what she said.

But here's the deal, and it's why I mentioned the fact that a black judge ruled in her favor: I know how nasty divorce and child custody fights can get for us folks who aren't running for office. Witnesses for each side are trotted out to give testimony (often lies) to make the other person look evil. I'm sure you've seen it, Curmilus, if you've ever been dragged into one of those cases.

And you also know this: when someone is as much of a racist as Boseman's supposed to be, everybody and their mother would have heard her say the "n" word. Unless I've missed something, only one person has made that claim so far, and apparently the black judge wasn't impressed by said testimony.

I would really hate to see something like this take power away from blacks in Wilmington, because that's what would happen if the Republican Party takes that Senate seat. That's the part about this whole story that gets under my skin. It's frickin' politics, man.

Keep your eye on the prize, you dig?

I dig however it is all about accountability

(The deal on that my friend is that if one wants to support her, her supporters should make her understand that they are going to support her this time however she must change the way she does things and then if not, replace her with a Democrat during the next election. Now that is smart politics.) TPA

(Again I didn't respond to the custody case I resonded to if she was really representing her supporters and if not why was she still in office because they could have replaced her with a Democrat during the May Primary. The same for some other Democrats. Hell I don't like some Democrats white and black who I can vote for however I will support them over a Republican any day but will work to get them replaced with another Democrat if I get enough people get onboard. And that needs to happen.) TPA

(Again I am concerned about her representation and my friend that is why I left it at that and if the people in Wilmington are willing to support her then so be it. I can't vote for her. However words matter just like race matters.) TPA

(I am going to reserve my comments on that one for the moment and I will come back after the November election and respond if I can remember to do so.) TPA

(My eye is on the prize and I dig it. However I will continue to hold elected officials accountable for their actions be they white, black, brown or other. I called for Rep. Thomas Wright (Wilmington NC) resignation who is black along with former Senator and Congressman Frank Ballance who is black and some others due to their ignance. I will challenge anyone when it comes to politics my friend.) TPA

wanna take it to the next level?

howard dean's in town tomorrow...

I second the thanks

This forum enabled us all to connect which is tough to do across the miles of eastern NC. People can email us and give information which is very important for the employees at electricities who are disgusted as we are. C Dancy is doing a good job on his site and the cross marketing is reaching more people. Same for Betty in Tarboro - she is doing a good job. We just have to keep it up. We can win this battle for the communities and our wallets.

In re: I second the thanks

Thank you for those words of encouragement. I also agree that Betty in Tarboro is doing a great job.
