The Jim Webb Award

I took a glance at Mike Stark's latest diary on Kos. This diary brings to everyone's attention the creation of an award by Cliff Schecter. The purpose of this award is to give attention to Democrats with a spine.
So far the award has been given out twice. Once to Elliot Spitzer for his, well, cojones. You see, according to news reports, Spitzer told the minority leader(R) of the state Assembly, "I am a fucking steamroller and I'll roll over you or anybody else"
The next award was given to Carol Shea-Porter, for telling the head of the NH Republicans to enlist in the army or shut up about her position on the war.
My proposal? I think we need to do this in North Carolina. Inspired by Robert's anger at all things Republican, and the Democrats who refuse to call them on it, I think we could use something like this. I think it would be a ton of fun if, every month or so, we highlighted the efforts of an activist or elected official in North Carolina who is taking the Republicans to task.

I had two ideas
for giving it away
The first was very democratic. A nomination process and then a vote.
The second was a nomination process and then the Front Pagers vote.
Or someone like Anglico or Robert could just give it away once a month or whenever someone deserves it, like Cliff does.
