The Latest Anti-Shuler Ad (Brought to you by the letters N, R, C, & C)

Well, well, well! It looks like the NRCC's rumored October ad buy got pushed up by a couple of weeks. Any connection between Taylor's "millionaire trigger" last week and this ad buy are purely coincidental, I'm sure...

Lurrrve that voiceover, eh? Makes ol' Heath sound sooo EEEEVIL!!! MOOOHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (ahem)

So... it seems that the worst things that the Repugs can come up are as follows:

1) Shuler wasn't an active voter when he was younger!!! Really. Did Shuler's non-voting in primary and general elections over a 12-year time span harm the country as much as, saaaaay, Taylor not voting against CAFTA?

2) Shuler moved back to NC in 2003!!! So I guess they're trying to play to our local sense of xenophobia and remind us of Thomas Wolfe's titular cliche, "You Can't Go Home Again"... I guess that they forgot about Liddy the Liar...

3) Shuler gets money from out of state!!! Ummmm... Russian bank? Corporate interests? "Washington Conservatives"?

I could go on, but it's a rare evening off with my wife and we're hungry. But anyway, I guess it's official. The Repugs are desperate, and they'll do anything to distract and distort... and they're doing it with such blatant non-issues! Hmmf.
