There’s a party in Topkapi!
Ok, you have to give this Pope some props for going to Turkey to visit and give Mass in Turkey, especially when he was against Turkey's entry in the EU while he was a Cardinal.
The outrage was vocal.
More than 20,000 Muslims in Istanbul on Sunday staged the biggest protest so far against Pope Benedict's trip to Turkey as Islamic opposition to this week's controversial visit gathered momentum.
Benedict, due to begin his first official visit to a Muslim country next Tuesday, angered many Muslims in September with a speech they took as an insult to Islam.
Youths wearing headbands with Islamic scripts, beating drums and waving Turkish red and white flags chanted "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) in the peaceful rally.
My hope is he went to Turkey to make amends. However, this is something this Pope has not become known for.
Turkey has not been a hot bed of Papal visits. Counting this one, there has been only three Papal visits to Turkey in the last millennia.

May the farce be with you.

Have you noticed...
... how this Pope is treated differently than the last one?
John Paul II was revered and little humor was had at his expense. This Pope, Benedict XVI is not treated with kid gloves. And I find it ironic that he is usually lampooned at Emperor Palpatine on the web.

And if anyone's read this week's TIME, it goes into what detail it can about the Pope's trip to Turkey.
I wondered to myself what would happen if the Pope were to say "Wipe them out...All of them." Seriously, that would be insane on all accounts.
Our children need to know that some people fought back, when others collaborated.
