Yeah, that's what it is. We don't care about crime or protecting children, we just want to take your guns so our long-term plan of instituting Socialism will work, so we can then come into your double-wide and tear down your satiny Elvis pictures and force you to wear drab clothes and work your fingers to the bone for food ration cards so you can stand in line for three hours to get a loaf of moldy black bread. Since we've been discovered, we're going to have to hold an emergency meeting to come up with a Plan B.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many women could vote for this guy. He's demonstrated time and again that he has nothing but contempt for women, that they're nothing but vessels to produce more potential soldiers for Jesus. As if Jesus actually wants any soldiers. Whatever, I have very little faith that any Republican, however "moderate" he or she may seem, would actually cast a vote in defiance of this delusional misanthrope.

Unfortunately, municipalities don't have a vote in the local-government-hating North Carolina General Assembly. As a matter of fact, their very existence is is apparently only allowed due to the largesse of the Legislature. What a fucked-up state we live in.

This is a shameless plan to shift the state tax burden from the rich to the poor. Republican Sen. Bob Rucho of Charlotte claims that corporations would pass along their tax savings to consumers. Where do we see evidence of widespread corporate compassion that would make them distribute such a windfall to the public?

The same place we see evidence of the benign and empathetic traits of the free market: in the minds of naive and illogical men.
