Vermin meets his match . . . on TV at 7:30!

This just popped into my mailbox:

I'm sure it's not your normal habit to watch television on Saturday night, but tonight you may want to make an exception. WRAL will air Brad's debate with Vern at 7:30 tonight.

The debate was taped on Friday morning. Among the highlights, Vern takes on the Episcopal Church and is challenged to explain some of his wild distortions of Brad's votes. By all accounts, it's worth the time to watch him squirm.

In addition, Brad participated in two other debates this week, WXII (Winston-Salem) and WTVD (Durham). The distinction between the candidates couldn't be more clear. It's painfully obvious that Brad knows the issues and takes a thoughtful approach to analyzing challenging policy questions. On the other side Vern has established a handful of prepared quips that he somehow works in for almost every question.

Watching the debates will make the choice on November 7 easy for voters.

It's on right now!

Vermin is discussing immigration. He's blinking a lot...what a terrible speaker and he's not answering the question as to what he'd do with the 12 million people. ugggh...

Brad Miller had already stated how ludicrous it would be to do a massive roundup and "ship 'em out".

Oh, here we go...IRAQ!

Round one?

" Sir your church supports Gay marriage, therefore you are not creditable to ask me questions." * Vernon

Oops,,,attacking the wrong person again.... Brad is over there Vernon>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Off Camera

And we didn't even see the part between the vermin and David Crabtree off camera. I'm sure you know all those bill numbers that he throws out during every debate. Damn, David had one of those bills and it didn't say what vermin quoted. Did he lie? Where does he go to church?

By the way, the whole Episcopal community is upset with the vermin. I don't guess he will get their votes. Did you see him interviewed after the debate when he said it was three liberals against one conservative and that was pretty even. Then he smirked. The only way I can see that it is even is in the weight category - three of them equals one of him. Did you notice his eyes? He's dangerous. Uh oh. My snark is back.

Wish someone could have gotten video of the pre-debate debate

Heard anything about those polls yet anyone?

Thanks for the link Greg!

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

We did aquired a pre-debate voice mail to Vernon as follows.

" Hi Vernon! We have just review the pre video of the purpose debate. We have some wonderful ideas to help you with your appearence as Jabba the Hut. Please call us after the debate and we will make a special discounted deal to promote your image. Your friends at the Jenny Craig diet center North Raleigh store. "

Momo

It was DURING the debate. It started during a break and David Crabtree probably thought it was over. It's obvious that the vermin is getting desperate - but he did say the other day that he was going to win because he has the BIG MO whatever that is. Trust me, he is not even close in the polls.

Big Mo?

So, if I were to break this down like they do the analogy questions on the SAT exam:

Big Mo : Robinson :: Joe-mentum : Lieberman

What are all your little photos?

I haven't been able to figure it out. Almost seems like album art.

My avatar?

That's a picture (more accurately, a video stillframe) of me from about fifteen years ago. I'm a little embarrassed to reveal the source, but kudos to anyone who can guess it.

The one I had before that was pretty obscure - a picture of Glenn Gould from a poster advertising one of his CBC radio documentaries, "The Idea of North".

And Helms begat Reagan...

Arguably, Ronald Reagan's Helms enabled win in the 1976 NC primary was all the encouragement he needed to try again in 1980, setting the stage for the Reagan Revolution and synergistic escapades like this one...

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
