Wally v. Patty: Who would you trust?

In case you haven't been paying attention, the Child King is gearing up for another preemptive war, this time against the sovereign state of Iran. With a run-up that's eerily similar to the trail of lies that led to Bush's war in Iraq, worries abound among responsible public policy makers in Congress.

Which brings us to the dramatically differing opinions of Congressman Patrick McHenry and Congressman Walter Jones, as reported by the Winston Salem Journal.

Rep. Walter Jones, R-3rd, was joined by a handful of Republican and Democratic colleagues Thursday as he introduced a resolution calling for the president to come to Congress to explain any plans to attack Iran before they happen. "One of the many lessons from our involvement in Iraq is that Congress needs to ask the right questions prior to exercising its Constitutional authority to approve the use of military force.... There is growing concern, justified or not, that administration officials are contemplating military action against Iran, " said Jones, who is an outspoken critic of the war in Iraq.

"Absent a national emergency, or an imminent attack by Iran upon the United States or its armed forces, the president must consult with Congress ... before initiating any use of military force against Iran," Jones said.

Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-10th, thinks that trying to eliminate the potential for a military strike is a bad idea. He said he respects Jones, but they "see things a little differently. Iran is certainly a problem for us. I don't think we should limit our options," McHenry said.

Pardon my French, but McHenry is a fucking idiot. Not limit our options? As in don't limit the options of an insane president to start another preemptive war based on lies, faulty intelligence, and a desire to preserve his non-existent legacy?

The people of McHenry's district should be ashamed of themselves for sending this lapdog moron back to Congress.

Subject : Call from Mack

Hey you all.

Just wanted to let you know that I got a brief phone call from Mack at about 2:30am last night and he wanted me to tell you all that he is ok. He said they made the news again, things are really rough, he's a little shaken up right now, but he is ok. Three guys he knows are missing and that's all he could say except that he didn't sleep at all yesterday because of thinking about it. I will let you know more as I find out and as I get to talk to him.

XXXX

Sad and scary news

That's the thing that burns me about AWOL George. He deserted his responsibilities in the Texas Air National Guard and then his daddy covered for his lying ass. And now people like him and McHenry just casually start wars like they're playing some goddamn video game.

Jones knows what this is all about for real. He faces the cost of this insane conflict every day because he represents families in Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune. McHenry would be smart to listen to someone besides the coward in the White House - but we all know he's not smart, not at all.

Missing in Action Patty Part 2?

Missing found! According to my sources, they were beheaded. Do you think that Patty would be able to view his commander in chief bodycount surge?

The attack ... was aimed at coalition and Iraqi security forces working together toward a better future for the citizens of Karbala," said coalition spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Scott R Bleichwehl.

Police said three kidnapped US soldiers were killed in Mahaweel, near Karbala, around 80 kilometres south of Baghdad as US and Iraqi troops tailed vehicles believed carrying militants from Karbala.

One soldier was reported wounded in the operation during which the forces, according to police, managed to catch up with the vehicles containing the three soldiers' bodies. The militants fled.

Authorities believe the militants had kidnapped the three and killed them inside the vehicles when their escape from Karbala was interrupted.
