What the middle east is seeing.

I'm not sure I believe this is spur-of-the-moment, as reported, but this is what viewers in the middle east are seeing. The interviewer askes Iraqi shop owners, what do you think of Americans?

Certainly was not "fair and balanced" reporting

But I do think that the Iraqis are losing patience with the process. I found this poll from late 2005 commissioned by the English Ministry of Defense that had bad results for supporters of a continued operation:

The poll, undertaken for the Ministry of Defence and seen by The Sunday Telegraph, shows that up to 65 per cent of Iraqi citizens support attacks and fewer than one per cent think Allied military involvement is helping to improve security in their country.

This is a little dated, but I doubt the feelings would have improved. And as a preemptive strike, I am only using this poll because it was the reliable that I could find. If anyone finds a newer, reliable poll, I would be happy to consider it.

Many copious apologies for hijacking this diary to post this, Robert P. Just wanted to get it up here to start y'all's day off with a "hell, yeah!" smile. When co-workers ask you what you're smiling about today, please, do tell them. :)

"They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people a dollar 'n a half just to see 'em. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."
