The end is near
It's hard to believe we've almost survived one of the most maddening primary cycles in memory. But here we are, exactly a month away from the Big Day. Over the next couple of weeks, North Carolina will be making up its collective mind on lots of races. But as off today, which way are you leaning?
Christensen's article is very timely
I didn't read it that closely, but first time he's written something that nothing jumped out at me and said, "nuh uhhhhhhh". I'm not a huge Christensen fan.
Oops...edit...here's the links. Christensen article.
Yep.
That's the "collateral damage" I've been writing about. Both here and at the national level. The Democrat's best hope in North Carolina is for Fred Smith to spend the next month pillorying McCrory as the tax and spend liberal that he is.
Christenson
Me neither. He gets way too close to his subjects. I haven't been able to read him since he wrote a column that suggested that Jim Black wasn't such a bad guy because he didn't break the law for money, but for power. Somehow that's supposed to be a lesser form of corruption. Whaaa?

Where to go...
I've been "soft" Perdue the entire time. When I saw on the liveblog that Moore was anti-lottery, that did make me pause. But the death penalty issue then made me think the other way.
...so I remain "soft" Perdue. This isn't news, but this race is her's to lose.
Heh, where's the Senate poll??
Yeah, I am soft Perdue.
I'm not really excited by the way her campaign has been run, but she hasn't done anything to make me not want her to be Governor.
As you say, it is her race to lose.

I must say
the death penalty post made be do a double-take (even though I've already voted). So what's done is done. I'll just leave it at that.
Can I vote for Jim Hunt please?
I never got to before. I moved here too late ('98).
Ha! Yes, please!

Undecided
I am genuinely undecided on what party's primary I will be voting in. Thus is the burden of the UNA.
Perdue
Three reasons why I am voting for Perdue:
1) Her support for a Death Penality Moritorium
2) When she was in the legislature, her helping to create the Clean Water Management Trust Fund
3) Her support of Obama

When did she say this?

Both have endorsed Obama
I should note, first, that Richard Moore has endorsed Obama as well...and actually did so before Perdue endorsed Obama last month.
Both endorsements were rather quiet, though, as I noted in a blog post yesterday, Perdue seems to have promoted her support a little bit more, particularly among likely African-American Democratic voters.

The way I found out
The only way I found out is that her endorsement of Obama so pissed off my Mom (huge Clinton supporter) that my Mom asked for her contributions back from Perdue.

This Came in Saturday's Mail
I tried to post the card that came Saturday in the mail from the Perdue campaign, but I must have done something wrong.
Under the Dome just posted it and indicated that it was sent to black households.
