Not to get too weather-geeky but you folks out West are in for a heck of a storm with high winds and heavy snow. We'll be seeing it here mid-state soon as well. From the NWS Forecast (geek link here):

Winds are already howling here in Charlotte
Must be causing some problems out there because the sirens are fairly constant. Odd day out today.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
Not much wind here near Table Rock Mtn.
But it took me 20 tries to get my rear-wheel drive van out of my driveway. It's been so mild I'd forgotten to park it in our "winter" spot on the street.
Only about 3 inches so far but it's still comin' down. I'm only at 3600 so the ski places probably have much more.
Come on up to Beech, Sugar, Seven Devils, Cataloochee, or Appalachian. They've been suffering this year . . .
