Hear Kim Gandy talk about her history of working for women, especially in the area of Violence Against Women
Hear representatives from NCWU member organizations talk about other issues of concern.
Join with others from your district and across the state to speak to your legislators about the issues of most concern to you
If you are free Monday evening, join us for a special reception in honor of Ms. Gandy and focused on the issues of violence against women

I'm excited for April 9th
In addition to be Women's Advocacy Day it's also going to be the Historic Thousands on Jones St Coalition/People of Color Legislative Day:

For people power to work, we need strength in numbers, so I'm glad to see these events coinciding. There are a lot of overlapping themes these groups will be advocating for relating to equality, health care, voting, and much more, so legislators will be hearing it from all sides.

Granted my phone isn't the best camera in the world, but it did capture a lot of activism under the roof of the legislative halls today with multiple groups doing their advocacy days today.
Is there any sense
of Republicans paying any attention at all?
Giving them a chance to listen
The way Rev. Barber put it is that you must first give them a chance to listen, a chance to be educated, and make every honest effort to reach out and express your concern before you can take the next step of sustained civil disobedience. I don't know if they will listen, but it sounds like the next step if they don't won't be as polite. Today, with the many different activists there for the many different groups having advocacy days, they certainly had every chance to listen and be educated.

It seems to me that there have been countless chances to listen offered and declined over the past two years. Divide-and-Conquer Tillis has no interest in listening. Neither does Berger. Nor apparently does McCrory (he doesn't even listen to himself).
It seem to me we are long past time for politeness.
The GOP thinks they can cram their plans down our throats and we'll just take it. Teacher and public workers, in particular, have turned the other cheek so many times they all have whiplash.
When will they stop turning the other cheek?

A lot of speakers also mentioned litigation as a tactic that will be employed. For folks looking to support that route, the ACLU is an obvious choice and a great group. Other groups like the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and Lambda Legal are great choices too. Here's the history on Lambda Legal's work:
