YDNC State Convention: Senator John Edwards and James Carville

The Young Democrats of North Carolina has just confirmed that Senator John Edwards will attend and speak at the 2008 YDNC State Convention. Senator Edwards will join James Carville as our featured speakers on Saturday, March 29 at the Sheraton Imperial in RTP. State-wide candidates, including those for governor, will be featured throughout the day. We will also have trainings, a service project in honor of Senator Edwards, and elections for YDNC offices. This year's convention promises to be the best yet.

Hope you all can make it

There are different ticket levels depending upon age (with non-YDs paying $35). For the record, the NC Young Republicans are charging $100 even for their members. And their guests? All Republicans. Who'd pay that much to hear that drivel?

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
