I’m a graduate of the US Naval Academy. American taxpayers covered my entire college tuition for four years, about $50,000 a year.

Every single person at my college got that handout, as well as a good-paying job for five years after graduation.

No one bitched or moaned about us being moochers.

Without those handouts, many of us would never have gone to college.

I fully support President Biden’s action to forgive a small portion of student loans. Many people are struggling under the burden of too much debt at a time when government policies are favoring corporations and the wealthy with almost every new piece of legislation. Fair is fair.
