Bringing Down Approval Numbers

We've all known and seen this, the Republican party has become the obstuctionist party filled with liars (to be politcally correct it's not lying, it's now "distributing mis-information") and whiners. They have lost the House, the Senate and the White House by an overwhelming edict from the American people.

Some Republicans are smart enough to see the iceberg ahead and have already jumped ship. From Huffington Post

You Republicans are the arsonists who burned down our national home. You combined the failed ideologies of the Religious Right, so-called free market deregulation and the Neoconservative love of war to light a fire that has consumed America. Now you have the nerve to criticize the "architect" America just hired -- President Obama -- to rebuild from the ashes. You do nothing constructive, just try to hinder the one person willing and able to fix the mess you created.

We the People of North Carolina are not that lucky. We don't have the kind of Republican representation that can step back and evaluate the problems that faces their party and their message. Instead, we have whiney little blow-hards like Patty McHenry who is helping craft the new Republican message. From The Plumline....

“We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010,” said Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., an outspoken conservative who has participated on the GOP message teams. “Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and for House Democrats. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Watching the Republican party implode has become a nightly occurance in our house. In fact we have stocked up on Orville Redenbacker popcorn and even talked about buying stock. (Owned by ConAgra Foods, even Orville has lost). Do we really want the Real Republican party to fail?

Shoot, Mom

Great minds and all that. I'm going to frontpage yours instead of mine. Nice work.

Saw yours after I hit post

thanks for FP'ing mine!

This guy

is a raw festering boil on the butt of the 10th district (unfortunately, my district), and the 10th has a humongous butt. The tragedy is that, if someone as competent as Dan Johnson couldn't unseat this little twerp, chances are we in the 10th will be saddled with bad representation for a long, long time.

Didn't Dan come close?

Will he try again?

58% to 42% ... as for trying again, don't know ... I think he might've moved back to Wake County already.
