GOP Senate candidate Brannon plagiarized website

Raw Story and Buzzfeed are reporting that Tea Party favorite Greg Brannon plagiarized parts of his website from Republican Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan and copied - word for word - other sections directly from reports by the conservative Cato Institute.

The leader in the Republican primary, Thom Tillis, previously lied about his college credentials.

Quite a bunch of cocoanuts the Republicans have assembled for the race this time.

Nothing more than a con artist

From looking at Brannon's financials, it appears he makes a decent living (close to a half-million a year) from his ob-gyn practice. But it's not enough, so he gets involved with investment schemes and dubious weight-loss clinics, and who knows what else. It seems like he's always looking for an angle, and being in the US Senate would give him angles galore. Which is probably the main reason he's running.

It's not plagiarism

It's just following the ALEC model. Just develop "model" issue positions once and all the drones can reuse them.

"I will have a priority on building relationships with the minority caucus. I want to put substance behind those campaign speeches." -- Thom Tillis, Nov. 5, 2014
