O'Keefe commits voter fraud in NC

If you can't prove lawbreaking without breaking the law yourself, maybe you're tripping down the wrong path:

Zbigniew Gorzkowski is registered to vote in North Carolina, the film shows. Project Veritas acquired his September 21, 2007 voter registration form and provided a copy to TheDC. On May 8 the workers at Gorzkowski’s assigned North Carolina polling place offered his ballot to an actor in the film who gave Gorzkowski’s name while hidden-camera video rolled.

And here's the law that was broken by these Republican fiction artists:

(1) For any person fraudulently to cause his name to be placed upon the registration books of more than one election precinct or fraudulently to cause or procure his name or that of any other person to be placed upon the registration books in any precinct when such registration in that precinct does not qualify such person to vote legally therein, or to impersonate falsely another registered voter for the purpose of voting in the stead of such other voter;

(4) For any person knowingly to swear falsely with respect to any matter pertaining to any primary or election;

You can add this one to the list of crimes the GOP gets away with in their crusade to bend the truth.

Just a damn liar

O'Keefe = Liar

Conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe released a new video today supposedly exposing voter fraud in North Carolina by highlighting non-citizens like Zbigniew Gorzkowski who have voted in recent elections.

The problem: Gorzkowski is an American citizen.

Calling Roy Cooper

It's time to put a stop to this crap and arrest this son of a bitch, right here, right now.

Voter Lookup does not show William DeJesus Romero as registered

The first voter in this questionable video is William DeJesus Romero of Raleigh NC - according to the voter registration form shown. I'm not sure how someone got a copy of a voter registration form.

But this person isn't even registered, according to the voter lookup system at the NC State Board of Elections website.

Showing a registration form doesn't mean anything. It may not even have been turned in.
Further, any registration APPLICATION has to go through a set of checks and balances before the person is registered to vote.

Go to the link, type in any of the names from the video along with the county and see if any of these other people ever registered.

Typical manipulation.

It's too bad this loser is back and this time it's in our state. Last time the judge put him under house arrest at his parents' place, maybe this time he'll actually get some real punishment (although most guys in their 20s would probably not live with their parents I guess). Also if he filmed this process isn't that illegal as well? Always says no cell phones/cameras in my precinct.

Only Republicans could get

Only Republicans could get away with committing crimes on tape to "prove" a crime "can" be committed.

voter id

I have no problem with showing an id to vote. I think we are on the wrong side on this one.

The only problem I have with voter ID

is that there are registered voters who don't have id's. For example, my mother, before she passed away, lived in an assisted living center. She did not have a valid drivers license. She did not have utility bills, or any other bills that came to her address, because my brother handled all her finances. She would have been hard pressed to prove her identity should she have been required to. That's the case with many elderly voters. I understand that's the case with other demographics as well.

I just don't believe voter fraud is the big honking deal these guys are trying to make it out to be. If it were, they wouldn't have to lie about it to prove their case.
