The N&O, under the mealy mouthed headline "Fewer in NC affirm GOP ties," is reporting that

The number of self-identifying Republicans in North Carolina is dropping.

The number of North Carolinians identifying as Republican has dropped from 35 percent in 2004 to 26 percent, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center.

I forgot to say thank you.

Sorry. Thank you Robert.

And while I'm apologizing, sorry for the site going down. We've got a memory problem.

The solution is l33t speak. From now on, to conserve memory, every word that can be abbreviated must be, and all letters that can be represented by numbers must be. And no punctuation.

like this:

teh soltion = l33t speek now 2 con mem all werds be abbr must B & all lttrs is rep #s must B & ~punc

But for real, I'll get on fixing the memory problem.

A lot of folks with in the LBAN network are having load time issues. I've been contacted by another company - Click to Blue (I think) and I'll email you about it. Just kinda busy today.

Obama 55, Clinton 34

A PPP poll shows Obama as having a very seizable lead in the NC primary. You can read all about it on PPP's Tom Jensen blog.

This 21 point lead is the largest he has shown in any NC polling to date, and an indication that the Wright controversy isn't causing him any long term harm at least in this state.

I also thought this was very interesting since a lot of us are still waiting to see who John Edwards would endorse:

The poll also showed that a possible John Edwards endorsement wouldn't do much for Hillary Clinton's prospects in the state. 31% of voters who are either undecided or support Obama said an Edwards endorsement would make them less likely to vote for Clinton, compared to just 12% who said it would make them more likely to support her. A majority of voters, 57%, said an Edwards endorsement would have no impact on them one way or the other.
