You are welcome

I ran across this article from a few days ago from Chris Bowers at MyDD. I thought I would just say, "you are welcome".

Thats right. The generation that I belong to is now as big as the baby boomer generation (we are your kids after all). More importantly, we are a very liberal group.

(follow for more)

Some key stats:
61% of Gen Y is white
In 2006 exit polls we voted Democrat 60% to 39%
In 2006 exit polls 41% called themselves Democrats. 28% called themselves Republicans.
12% of all voters in 2006 were from Generation Y.

Keep something else in mind. This generation extends to those born in 1994. Those kids cant vote for another 6 years. Do you remember what happened when you were growing up? I know I do. Most of my generation that cant vote is going to have Iraq, Katrina etc as the pivotal moments of their pre-voting political lives.

Im excited, and all of you owe us a thank you.

Thanks.

I've done my damnedest to raise two progressives. My son, 30, is a social worker in NYC who is devoting his life to the common good. My daughter, 16, is going to be a teacher (she hopes).

We old folks do what we can.

Actually, you're welcome

we raised you to be the human beings you are. So, you're welcome.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Thank you and you're welcome

raised a couple of free thinkers myself, don't always agree with them, but damn glad they are who they are.

No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots.

thats why

raised a couple of free thinkers myself,

thats probably why we have so many liberals. that damn free speech thing.
